Honestly when Amino IQ first hit the market I was skeptical. The reason being is I wasn’t sure how many people would be interested in a fully dosed BCAA with energy and brain function (nootropic) ingredients. When crossing between different categories you can alienate a product as sometimes it doesn’t speak to either user. I couldn’t have been more wrong!
As usual the guys at Beyond Yourself have done an excellent job in presenting a well finished and well rounded product that looks as good as it tastes and performs.
Since we’re talking about a BCAA style product, there’s not much to say here. The mixability is brilliant just like you’d expect in any other BCAA. A few short shakes in a shaker and you’re ready to jump in.
In a word, fantastic. The guys at Beyond Yourself always do a great job and with Amino IQ they certainly didn’t disappoint. The Candy Shoppe Series that they created with this product have some of the best candy style flavours I’ve ever tasted and I’m not the only one who thinks so. I get very regular feedback from customers on how good the flavours are.
There are currently 7 core candy flavours to choose from, plus additional limited time flavours that have been introduced at different times.
Some of the more popular flavours include Watermelon Candy, Banana Ice Pops, Tangy Peach Ringz and Red, White & Boom. The Green Gummy Frogs flavour reminded me more of a green apple flavour, and the Tangerine Jelly Bean more of a traditional orange, but both are very notable mentions. The Cotton Candy Gumball is very much on the sweeter side however but still solid.
Personally my favourites are the Green Gummy Frogs, Tangy Peach Ringz and the Red, White & Boom. The Green Gummy Frogs I enjoy as I like the apple flavour as well as the slight touch of sourness you get with this flavour. The Tangy Peach Ringz reminded me a lot of the candy, and again with the hint of sour the experience is very good. The Red, White & Boom reminds me of a frozen rocket pop, the flavour is a little lighter but is still very flavourful and absolutely delicious.
With 6g of total BCAA’s it’s certainly dosed well in this area so the recovery element of this product is excellent. The BCAA’s are in a 3:1:1 ratio so it is slightly more leucine heavy than a traditional BCAA product but this will offer optimal recovery.
The nootropic brain function ingredients that are included here are my favourite aspect of this product. With 1200mg of Alpha GPC, 1200mg of Choline Bitartrate, 100mg of Deanol (DMAE Bitartrate), 50mg of Lion’s Mane Extract, Beyond Yourself certainly didn’t skimp on anything in this area and it shows with improved cognitive ability and brain function. With the inclusion of 100mg of Caffeine and 2.5mg of Huperzine-A Amino IQ give you a nice energy kick and a feel good factor that will last.
As I mentioned in my initial thoughts, initially I was sceptical about Amino IQ, however after using it myself and trying a number of their flavours I’m completely hooked! The combination of a good dose of BCAA’s, nootropics and caffeine make for one great combination and it’s a product that could easily replace a morning coffee as it offers you the same kick but so much more with the nootropics and BCAA’s.
The only reason it’s not a 10 is the fact that you can’t drink it all day, but hey, there’s always Beyond Yourself’s AMRAP for that!

I don't want to write a bio for myself, so instead I'll leave you with an appropriate quote...
Our minds influence the key activity of the brain, which then influences everything; perception, cognition, thoughts and feelings, personal relationships; they're all a projection of you.

Are you looking to gain weight? Preferably in the form of rock hard, lean muscle mass? Then you want to bulk. Before you start doubling your portions and indulging in late-night snacking, you might want to consider a weight gainer. Weight gainer supplements could be the key to packing on pounds with minimal body fat accumulation; hence, the perfect bulk.
Seven components make up a healthy, balanced diet: carbs, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, fibre, and water. Of these components, the macros - carbs, proteins, and fats - are the easiest to track. Micronutrients like vitamins and minerals can be trickier, as you might not know what or how much you need.
